THE TRAIL NETWORK
'COONDOO' - Cross Country (XC).
Located 15 minutes south of Nowra, the Coondoo trail network is much loved amongst the MTB community and recognised as offering one of the South Coast’s best XC race loops as well as an accessible and fun MTB experience for all levels of rider. Coondoo provides a diverse 10km XC loop with various configurations and loop lengths possible. There are plenty of features including jumps, berms, bridges, drops, step ups, rock sections and plenty of quality single track! The Coondoo trail doesn’t have significant changes in altitude but offers fast, flowy sections with a range techy features (with A and B lines). Airflow. Superbowls Airflow features 3 jump lines providing the perfect combination to progress your jump and flow skills gradually. Airflow consists of 'Jumping Jack' (Green/Easy), 'Blue Tounge' (Blue/Intermediate) and 'Funnel Web Fly' (Black/Expert). A great way to get more involved in SCUM is to join the SCUM Trail Crew; this dedicated group of people are responsible for the grooming, maintenance and building of the Club's trail network. Led by the Trails Coordinator the Trail Crew usually meet on the trails a week or so prior to each event. Many tools with be available, but bring your favourite rake, pruners etc. Make sure you bring gloves, a hat and plenty of water.
To join the Trail Crew simply turn up at our next "Track Work" event OR contact us for more information. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.
Important information:
